The Saginaw County Road Commission sponsored its second annual coloring contest for the elementary school-aged children of Saginaw County. The contest involved three age groups: Pre-Kindergarten - Kindergarten, 1st - 2nd Grades & 3rd—5th Grades.
The classrooms of the first place winners in each category were presented a $100 gift certificate, donated by Wirt Stone Docks, for classroom supplies. The classrooms of the second place winners in each category were presented with a $50 gift certificate, donated by Wirt Stone Docks, for classroom supplies.
Choice Office Supplies donated a $100 gift certificate for classroom supplies that was awarded to a classroom chosen from a random drawing.
The winning student from each category and their classroom teacher were invited to attend our February 23rd Board Meeting at 5:00 p.m. for an awards presentation. Each of the winning students received a certificate along with a street sign with their name on it along with their teacher receiving their respective gift certificate for classroom supplies.
